Approximately 180 mi² (some12 mi wide x 15mile long)
section of  the Western Vally in Western Alachua County, including a small part of the Brooksville Ridge.  Bat Cave lies in the lower third of the map near the Alachua/Gilchrist county line.  Note the virtually total absence of stream drainage, excepting a small part of the Santa Fe River in the upper left hand corner of the map.
